However, Eno Peçi does not stage his examination of the explosive topic in a direct way as a “brutal spectacle”, but rather uses the inviting elements of the magnificent music to approach the problem from a poetic and dance-language-varied perspective. Three characters remain from the original plot: Petrushka is a teacher, the Ballerina is his wife and the Moor is Petrushka's director. The action takes place on the one hand at school and on the other in the family circle. In addition to the conflict of work and family, the teacher Petrushka also faces another: ignorance and bullying from his students. Peçi's choreography, which is dedicated to the symptoms of our time in a variety of ways, also addresses the topic of disrespect towards parents and superiors on the part of young people and puts the teacher-student relationship up for discussion against the background of all the rights and obligations associated with it.
